Gyeongju's sights divide into three zones: the historic city centre (royal tombs, Cheomseongdae, Wolji Pond), the mountain area southeast of the city (Bulguksa temple, Seokguram grotto), and the surrounding area (the National Museum, Gyochon traditional village, outlying royal tombs). The central sights are walkable or cycleable; the mountain temples require a bus or taxi. Allow at least two days for a proper visit.
