Nativity Orthodox Cathedral

A neat domed cathedral built between 1995 and 2000 to serve the small Orthodox community of northern Albania. The exterior is in the Byzantine revival style: cross-in-square plan, central dome on a high drum, ringed by smaller cupolas. Inside, the walls are covered in modern frescoes in the traditional manner, completed over more than a decade by a team of Albanian iconographers.

Worth a 20-minute stop if you are walking between the Marubi Museum and St Stephen's. Open daily; modest dress and quiet during services.
