A small neighbourhood mosque just south of the pedestrian zone, built in its present form in 1995 on the site of a 16th-century Ottoman foundation destroyed in 1967. The replacement is a workmanlike modern building with a slim minaret and a plain rendered exterior.
Worth a brief pause for context: the original Parruçe was one of the oldest mosques in the city, and the demolition of so much of Shkodër's religious architecture in the late 1960s — Catholic, Orthodox, and Muslim alike — was unusual even by Communist Balkan standards. The current mosque is part of the long, careful rebuilding that has continued since 1991.
