The municipal history museum, in a restored Ottoman-era house on a side street off the pedestrian zone. The exhibits trace Shkodër from the Illyrian period through the Venetian and Ottoman centuries to independence and the Communist era. A small ethnographic section on the ground floor displays traditional dress, looms, and ceramics from the surrounding villages.
Modest in scale and rough at the edges, but useful as background before a visit to Rozafa Castle. English captions are limited. Open weekdays and Saturday mornings; closed Sunday.
