Musée de la Faïence

1200 years of ceramics in a 19th-century château park above the sea

Housed in the elegant 19th-century Château Pastré in the parc de Montredon, the Musée de la Faïence holds over 1200 pieces of Marseillais, regional, French, and European ceramics from the Neolithic period to the present day. The château sits between the sea and the hills in the far south of the city, and the park alone — shaded pines, a small lake — is worth the journey out.
