Hindemith Cabinet in the Cowherds' Tower

The Hindemith Cabinet occupies the Cowherds' Tower, a 14th-century gate tower in Sachsenhausen where composer Paul Hindemith lived from 1923 to 1927. The small museum connects the tower's medieval fabric with Frankfurt's 20th-century musical life.

It is a specialist stop, but a good one if you are already walking the south bank or visiting the Museumsufer. The tower also hosts chamber music events, so check the programme if Hindemith or modern classical music is part of your Frankfurt plan.
