The Imagine Peace Tower is Yoko Ono's memorial to John Lennon on Videy Island. When lit, it projects a column of light into the Reykjavik sky, usually around Lennon's birthday, the anniversary of his death, New Year, and selected spring dates.
Seeing it up close requires a trip to Videy, but the light is often visible from the city waterfront when conditions are clear.
