The only European branch of the legendary New York jazz club, open on Via Borsieri in the Isola district since 2003. It books a serious international programme — touring American jazz, soul, and blues names alongside Italian acts — in an intimate room where the tables run right up to the stage, with two sets most nights and a popular Sunday jazz brunch.

Its arrival was an early sign of Isola's shift from working-class backwater to nightlife destination, and it remains the neighbourhood's marquee venue. You eat and drink at your table during the show, club-style. Book ahead for the bigger names, which sell out; for the cost of a ticket you get a calibre of live music that is hard to find elsewhere in the city.
