Porta Ticinese

Porta Ticinese is a 19th-century city gate at the edge of one of Milan's older southern quarters. The gate itself is a quick stop, but the real appeal is the surrounding streets, where the city keeps a more lived-in, pre-war feel than the grand shopping core.

It works well as part of a walk between the Navigli canals, the Darsena, and the churches and small streets south of the centre.
