Formerly the Historisch Museum, Museum Rotterdam tells the story of the city through permanent and rotating exhibitions. The collection ranges from fine art and everyday objects to the devastating 1940 bombardment and the rebuilding that followed. Housed partly in the 17th-century Schielandshuis, one of only three historic buildings in the centre to survive the war.
