The late-Gothic Church of St Lawrence is one of the only medieval buildings to survive the 1940 bombing, though it required decades of restoration work completed in 1968. The interior is austere but impressive, and you can climb the tower for views over the city centre. Three bronze doors by Italian artist Giacomo Manzu were added during the restoration.
