Hamresanden is one of Kristiansand's best-known beaches, stretching along shallow water east of the city near the airport. In summer it has a classic Sørlandet holiday feel: sand, families, cabins, camping, and long light evenings.
It is less urban than Bystranda and better if you want a broader beach day rather than a quick dip near the centre. Outside warm weather, the sand and open coast still make it a pleasant walk, though the real draw is summer swimming.
