Factory International is Manchester's large new performance venue beside the old Granada Studios site. It is the year-round home of the Manchester International Festival, with a programme built around theatre, dance, music, visual art, and large-scale work that needs more space than a conventional stage can offer.
The building is worth knowing about even if you do not have tickets, because it has shifted the cultural centre of gravity toward the west side of the city centre. Check the programme before you go; the strongest reason to visit is usually a specific show or installation.
