Trinity Square

Pedestrianised square south of Hull Minster, the social heart of the Old Town in summer

Trinity Square is the open paved space immediately south of Hull Minster. After the 2017 City of Culture revamp the area was pedestrianised, the surface relaid, and a series of low fountains installed in front of the church porch. On warmer days the square fills with families letting children run through the fountains and people queuing for coffee from the kiosks at the edge.

The cafes around the square — including the Minster's own and a converted phone box — are good for lunch in the sun. Trinity Market sits along the eastern side; the square is one of the easiest places in central Hull to find a free outdoor table.
