The Humber Street Gallery opened in 2017 as part of the City of Culture programme and has since settled into a steady rhythm of three or four major shows a year, covering contemporary photography, painting, installation, and video work. The building is a converted fruit-market warehouse with bare brick walls and large clear-spanned spaces, and the rooftop bar — open in the warmer months — looks across the Humber.
The programme leans towards artists with a connection to Hull or the wider region but mixes in international names. Admission is free. Combine with a wander down Humber Street and a stop at one of the Fruit Market cafes.
