Pulaski Square

Pulaski Square is one of Savannah's quieter historic squares, laid out in 1837 and named for Casimir Pulaski, the Polish nobleman who fought for the American Revolution. It has less monument-heavy drama than some of the city's better-known squares, which is part of its appeal.

Come for the shade, the surrounding 19th-century houses, and the way the square shows Savannah's grid at its most relaxed. It is an easy pause while walking between the historic district's bigger-name stops.
