At 3,900 acres, one of the largest municipal parks in the United States. The park surrounds a 1,400-acre reservoir on the northwest side of Indianapolis and offers swimming beaches, a rowing course (used for several US Olympic trials), kayak and paddleboard rentals, a nature centre, and miles of wooded trails.
The Go Ape treetop ropes course adds a paid attraction for kids and adults. Daily vehicle entry fee at the gates. Big enough that you can find solitude even on a busy summer weekend.
