Suzzallo Library is the University of Washington's grand Gothic reading room, and the most atmospheric building on campus. The exterior has the solemn look of an old European college, while the Graduate Reading Room inside rises into a long, vaulted hall lined with tall windows and carved detail.
You do not need to be doing research to appreciate it. It is a quick but worthwhile stop while walking through the campus, especially if you like architecture or quiet old libraries.
