Capela de Santo Antônio is a small nineteenth-century chapel tied to one of Manaus's local devotional stories. It was built after a wife vowed to honor Saint Anthony if her seriously ill husband recovered.
The chapel is a modest stop, but it adds a quieter layer to Manaus's historic centre, away from the grand opera-house-and-palace circuit.
