Museu da Casa Eduardo Ribeiro preserves the former home of Eduardo Ribeiro, the Afro-Brazilian governor who helped modernise Amazonas during Manaus's rubber-boom years. The house gives a more personal angle on the political story behind the city's grand public buildings.
It is a useful stop in the historic centre, close to Teatro Amazonas and Largo de Sao Sebastiao, especially if you want Manaus history beyond the theatre facade.
