Wilson's Wharf is a small renovated dockside strip on the Victoria Embankment, with about a dozen seafood restaurants and bars looking out over Durban Harbour. The little Catalina Theatre here hosts comedy, jazz and small drama productions; the harbour cruises depart from the next jetty along.
The harbour-front setting is more interesting than the food, much of which is generic. Come for sunset drinks, watch the container ships negotiate the harbour mouth, then move on to Florida Road for dinner. Safe to walk around within the wharf complex; less so on the surrounding streets after dark.
