Beijing Planetarium is one of China's major astronomy museums, with older and newer exhibition buildings near Beijing Zoo. Displays cover the planets, the Sun, the Big Bang, and the mechanics of the Earth's rotation, including a Foucault pendulum.
The main reason to come is the mix of hands-on science exhibits and planetarium films. It is an easy pairing with Beijing Zoo or the nearby Paleozoological Museum.
