The China Ethnic Museum is a large anthropological museum and cultural park near Beijing's Olympic Green. It presents the cultures of China's 56 officially recognized ethnic groups through exhibition halls, reconstructed houses, villages, temples, and landscapes.
The site covers about 50 hectares across north and south sections. It is most useful for travellers who want cultural context beyond Beijing's imperial sights, especially when performances or festival programs are running.
