The Central TV Tower is a west Beijing landmark with an observation deck about 238 metres above the city. On a clear day it gives a broad view across central Beijing, with Yuyuantan Park below and the old city stretching eastward.
The tower is a practical choice if you want a high viewpoint without going to the CBD skyscrapers. There is also a television culture centre below the observation level and a revolving restaurant, though the view is the real reason to come.
