A hilltop village 1,592 m above Phewa Lake and the classic Pokhara viewpoint — a thirty-minute drive up from Lakeside or a two- to three-hour uphill walk, depending on which trail you take. Come before dawn to watch the first sunlight hit Annapurna, Machhapuchhre and Dhaulagiri in turn. Sarangkot is also the launch site for Pokhara's famous paragliding flights, which drift down over the lake and land near Lakeside.
