Chihou Lighthouse

Chihou Lighthouse stands above Cijin at the harbour mouth, with views back toward Kaohsiung, the port, and the sea. The lighthouse was first built in the Qing period with English technical help, then remodelled by the Japanese in a white Baroque style in 1916.

It pairs naturally with Cihou Fort, the Cijin Tunnel, and the ferry ride from Gushan, making it one of the best viewpoints on a Cijin walk.
