Bangkok Noi Museum covers the history of Bangkok Noi and the older riverside settlement that helped shape Thonburi. The district was an important trading centre in the Ayutthaya period and briefly stood at the centre of Siamese power after Ayutthaya fell.
The museum is a modest stop, but useful if you are exploring Thonburi beyond the Royal Barge National Museum and canal routes. It gives context for the neighbourhood before or after a boat trip through Khlong Bangkok Noi.
