Rama IX Royal Park

Rama IX Royal Park is Bangkok's largest public park, opened in 1987 to mark King Bhumibol Adulyadej's 60th birthday. Its grounds include a botanical garden, reservoir, formal gardens, and broad water features.

It lies deep in the eastern suburbs, so it takes more effort than central parks, but it rewards visitors looking for a spacious garden and a quieter side of Bangkok.
