The Robot Building is one of Bangkok's oddest modern landmarks: a 1980s bank tower designed by Sumet Jumsai to look like a giant robot. The antennae, eyes, and blocky body were meant as a playful answer to the high-tech architecture of the period.
The building is not open as a visitor attraction, but it is easy to spot from the street or from the Skytrain between Chong Nonsi and Sala Daeng. It is a quick, cheerful piece of Bangkok architectural theatre.
