Burggarten is the former imperial garden beside the Hofburg, laid out in an English landscape style. It is a calm green pause in the Innere Stadt, with lawns, mature trees, and the well-known Mozart monument.
The garden is most useful as part of a central Vienna walk, especially between the Hofburg, Albertina, and Palmenhaus. In summer it is a popular place to sit on the grass.
