Otto Wagner Hofpavillon Hietzing

Otto Wagner's Hofpavillon Hietzing was built in 1899 as the imperial station pavilion for Emperor Franz Joseph and the Habsburg court. It sits by the Hietzing U4 station, close to the western side of Schonbrunn.

The pavilion is small, but its Art Nouveau detail makes it a useful stop for visitors already seeing Schonbrunn or exploring Hietzing. Look for Wagner's careful mix of railway function, court ceremony, and decorative restraint.
