A 90-metre hill rising out of the otherwise-flat Linden district, crowned with a brick-built water reservoir from 1879 (the Wasserhochbehälter) and an open park. The view east takes in the whole sweep of the city centre — the Town Hall dome, the Maschsee and the spires of the Marktkirche.
The park hosts open-air cinema in summer and is the local choice for Friday-evening drinks at sunset. The water tower itself houses a small restaurant.
