Sandymount Strand is a broad tidal beach southeast of central Dublin, backed by a grassy promenade. It is a good place for a long, breezy walk with views across Dublin Bay.
Look for the Martello Tower and the sculpture Awaiting the Mariner along the shore. The strand changes character with the tide, so check conditions before walking far out.
