The collegiate church built between 1594 and 1604 to house a small terracotta image of the Virgin said to have miraculously survived a soldier's shot in 1552. The Palio of 2 July each year is run in honour of this Madonna; the winning contrada brings its banner here for blessing in the days afterwards.
The single-nave church is plain inside, with a fine domed crossing. Worth a quick stop on the walk between the Campo and San Francesco.
