The pedestrian walk along the old city walls between the Holy Spirit Plateau and the Bock follows the line of the 17th-century fortifications high above the Grund valley. The drop is sheer and the views run from the Neimënster Abbey directly below to the cliffs of Pfaffenthal and the modern towers of Kirchberg in the distance.
Walk it in either direction at any time of day; sunset over the valley with the Grund's roofs catching the last light is the postcard moment. The path links most of the old town's main sights and is the obvious orientation walk on a first visit.
