A small, dignified square behind the cathedral, dominated by the statue of Grand Duchess Charlotte by Jean Cardot — the long-reigning monarch whose 1940 BBC broadcasts from London became a rallying point for occupied Luxembourg. The buildings around it house the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The square is mostly quiet, used by ministerial cars and the occasional state ceremony. A peaceful detour off the main Rue de la Reine.
