The Kamzík TV Tower stands at the summit of Kamzík hill north of Bratislava, 439 metres above sea level. The observation deck and revolving restaurant at the top offer 360-degree views over Bratislava, the Danube plain, and — on clear days — the peaks of the Little Carpathians and the Austrian Alps. The tower is reached by bus from the city centre (bus 43 from Koliba) or by the cable car that runs from the Bratislava Zoo entrance.
The Kamzík area is also popular with Bratislava residents for forest walking, cycling, and in winter for cross-country skiing on the maintained tracks around the summit. The forest roads are well-marked and the terrain is gentle enough for a family walk.
The tower's revolving restaurant (Rotunda) is a relic of 1970s socialist tourism design and has its own period charm. A coffee at the top while the view rotates is worth the price.
