Jardín Botánico de la Universitat

The University of Valencia's botanical garden, founded in 1567 — one of the oldest in Spain. The 4-hectare site, tucked behind the old city walls near the Torres de Quart, was designed as a teaching garden and still has the educational geometric layout: themed beds for medicinal plants, useful plants, and Mediterranean species, plus tropical greenhouses and a dedicated palm grove.

A peaceful break from the old town. Small entry fee. Combine with a visit to the Torres de Quart and IVAM, which are next door.
