A steep park between Saint Michael's Square and the upper station of the funicular, topped by a black cast-iron statue of Saint Volodymyr — the prince who Christianized Kyivan Rus in 988. The 1853 monument was one of the first public sculptures in Kyiv and remains a city symbol.
The terraces below the monument offer the best view of Podil and the river, and they are now linked by a pedestrian glass bridge across to Khreshchatyy Park. A favourite spot for sunset.
