One of the finest regional museums in Britain, with a collection of over 800,000 objects. The Pre-Raphaelite collection is outstanding — the largest in the world — with major works by Burne-Jones, Millais, Rossetti, and Hunt. Other galleries cover ancient civilisations, decorative arts, and Birmingham's own industrial and social history. Admission is free. The building itself is a grand Victorian structure overlooking Chamberlain Square.
