St. Paul's Church anchors one of Birmingham's most attractive surviving Georgian spaces, St Paul's Square in the Jewellery Quarter. The church itself is restrained rather than showy, but its setting of brick facades, workshops, and open green gives it real urban value.
It is best visited as part of a Jewellery Quarter walk, where the church helps explain the district as more than a collection of museums and jewellery shops. The square is also a useful pause between the city centre and the neighbourhood's industrial streets.
