Victoria Law Courts

The Victoria Law Courts are one of Birmingham's strongest red-brick and terracotta buildings. Opened in 1891, the courthouse fills a prominent stretch of Corporation Street with deep red ornament, carved detail, and the confident civic architecture of the late Victorian city.

The building is still used by the courts, so most visitors come for the exterior rather than a tour. It fits naturally into a walk between the city centre, St Chad's Cathedral, and Curzon Street Station.
