Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Park, formerly the Nature Centre, is a small city wildlife park beside Cannon Hill Park. It is not a grand zoo, but it has a good family scale and a conservation angle, with animals such as red pandas, lemurs, reptiles, otters, and small monkeys.
The park works best as part of a south Birmingham half-day with Cannon Hill Park, the MAC, or nearby Edgbaston sights. Go expecting close-up enclosures and keeper talks rather than big safari drama. For families, it is one of the easiest low-stress animal stops in the city.
