Fenland Trail is an easy loop near Banff town, following forest and wetland around 40 Mile Creek. It is a good low-effort place for birdwatching, and beaver or muskrat are sometimes seen along the water.
Seasonal closures can happen in spring when elk are calving, so check local notices before setting out.
