Sunshine Meadows is one of the easiest ways to get into Banffs high alpine country without committing to a major backcountry trip. Summer shuttles and lifts bring you up toward open meadows, larch pockets, clear tarns, and big views along the Continental Divide.
The season is short and weather changes quickly, but on a clear day the payoff is excellent: wildflowers in midsummer, golden larches in early autumn, and a landscape that feels much wilder than the access suggests.
