Mount Norquay Road climbs above Banff toward the ski area and is one of the easier places near town to look for wildlife. Bighorn sheep are often seen along the roadside, and mountain goats sometimes appear on the cliffs.
Even without wildlife, the road is a short scenic detour with broad views back over Banff and the Bow Valley.
