The Via Ferrata at Mount Norquay lets non-climbers clip into fixed cables, ladders, and suspension bridges on the cliffs above Banff. It is guided, exposed, and much more physical than a viewpoint stop, but the reward is a high ledge perspective over the Bow Valley without committing to technical alpine climbing.
Several routes vary in length and difficulty, so choose conservatively if heights make you nervous. Weather matters: on a clear day the views are superb, while rain or smoke can turn the experience into an expensive scramble in cloud.
