Theodore Roosevelt Island

Theodore Roosevelt Island is a wooded island preserve in the Potomac River with short walking trails, wetland boardwalks, and a memorial plaza dedicated to the 26th president. Although the island is part of Washington, D.C., visitors reach it by footbridge from Arlington, making it a useful quiet break between Georgetown, Rosslyn, and the National Mall area.
