Puente Transbordador

Puente Transbordador is the old transporter bridge at the mouth of the Riachuelo, linking La Boca with the south bank of the river. Built as an industrial river crossing, it was the first fixed link between Buenos Aires and the districts across the water.

It is best seen as part of a walk through La Boca, especially if you are already visiting Caminito or Fundacion Proa. The bridge is not a polished attraction, but its steel frame and working-port setting make it one of the neighbourhood's strongest reminders of the old docklands.
