Teatro Nacional Cervantes

Teatro Nacional Cervantes is one of Buenos Aires' major theatres, opened in 1921 after a campaign led by Spanish actress and producer Maria Guerrero. Spain's King Alfonso XIII supported the project by commissioning artworks for the building.

The theatre has three stages and remains an important venue for drama and comedy. Even if you are not seeing a performance, its Spanish-influenced architecture makes it a notable stop near the central theatre district.
